For many years, I have been fortunate to travel around the country and share my ideas with music educators and ensembles through workshops. Unlike clinics, which tend to be more like lecture presentations, the workshops are hands-on. It is rare for me to remember to turn on a video camera so most are undocumented except for the handout. However, when I was working with the instrumental music staff of the School District of La Crosse (Wisconsin) in 2012, somebody had a camera and the session was immortalized. In among the teachers are the student members of the La Crosse Central High School Wind Ensemble, directed by Dr. Christopher Werner. Even with the reality TV cinematography, these four clips should give you a clear idea of the nature of my work in this type of setting.
